Autumn Photos

This is a close up picture I did. I edited the contrast and exposure and lightness.
I also made the red a little bit brighter, and cropped it. I really like the effect the light has on the leaves in front of it.

This picture is autumn-esque I think, because of the the mix of dead leaves and twigs and rocks.
I really like the different textures in it. I changed the contrast, exposure and the coloring for this. I also cropped it.

I like how red the leaves are in this picture. I also really like the different shades of color,
dark, and light. I changed the colors, contrast, exposure, and size.
I like how the light seems to stand out to me, because it's so different compared to the leaves.
I made the darkness in the back darker, and the leaves more red.

I really quite like how this picture (to me, at least) looks kind of like it's a picture of a painting or drawing. Just the way the leaves seem kind of flat, it seems very cool to me. I darkened some reds and lightened some yellow in the picture. I also changed the exposure and contrast.

My Pictures.

Here are the pictures that I took this week:
1. This picture represents that I tend to try to keep or preserve things of my past, because I'll feel like I miss them.

2. I really like to draw and do creative things.

3. I have to use a lot of hair clips/ties because my hair is relatively thick and it sticks out all the time

4. I really like the idea of having a neat room, but I'm in a hurry a lot so it doesn't always work out.

5. I think most people who are at least an acquaintance know that I really enjoy reading. This is a couple books that I have by my bed.

6. I play the cello, and most of the time I enjoy it, although a lot of the time I really don't like practicing.  But I hope to keep it up for a long time.

7. Most of the second/third years at Heartlife will know this, but I don't really like getting my picture taken. I don't think that I'm very photogenic.

Paragraphs

I'm not sure how to say how I view the world around me. I mean, I don't really know how to compare it to someone else, because I haven't seen through their eyes. I'd like to say that I see all the beauty in things, but that isn't always true. A lot of the time I see all the ugly things that I don't like. I'd say that I like to try to see things and people for who/what they are. But I do tend to notice what is wrong with certain things, instead of the good.
I think that art and music inspire me. Art could be anything, writing, a picture, a painting etc. But sometimes when I see things that definitely change the way I view everything around me. Some people that inspire me are J.K. Rowling (I know, it seems cliche, but...), Evanna Lynch, Steve Jobs, Emma Watson and Jennifer Lawrence (because even though they are both famous, they still seem to lovely).
I'm not quite sure how my personality will show through my photography yet, but I hope it will show through in some kind of lovely way, and it won't just be any old photo.
Some of my hobbies are reading, checking my email excessively, watching movies and tv and spending all my time on the computer. I guess you could say playing the cello was a hobby, although rather a lot of the time I don't feel like practicing. But I also feel like I'll really appreciate all the time I've spent practicing and playing later in my life. I would say a hobby is hanging out with my friends, but I don't go out of my way to hang with people a lot of time. If I happen to be with them, then I'll talk to them, but I don't usually call people or anything (I hate talking on the phone).
I kind of like vintage photography, I'm not sure if that's a certain genre, but I quite like the feel of it. I also like portrait pictures because (I think I've said this before) I like how you can the emotion, or if there isn't very much emotion, you can tell. I also like pictures with lots of shadows, just because it's so mysterious and it gives things a unique feel to them.

Homework Assignment Due On Wednesday!

I have a lot of creative interests. I wouldn't necessarily consider myself a incredibly creative person, but I do like drawing and arty kinds of things, although I wouldn't say I'm terribly good at it. I wouldn't even really say I was good at it, but I enjoy drawing things like faces and flowers and I doodle an awful lot.
Like I said, I have a lot of creative interests.
Although, lot of the time once I see something new I'm interested. I like people, because a lot of the time you can look at them and see emotions, or lack of emotion, I guess. I also like buildings, and/or architecture. The way it all fits together, is interesting, I think.
I like things that are a little weird, or different. Like with something out of place, so it has a different element to it.  One thing I'm not a big fan of is cars. I'm not super interested in them. Sometimes they're cool in a certain situation, or place. But for the most part they don't really interest me that much.
I really like the ocean, just the way it's almost always different, always moving and it can change colors and textures and the way it moves is interesting.
I also think that different textures are fascinating, just all the different kinds.

What I Hope To Learn

I don't really have a certain expectation for the things we will learn in this class (I'm sure it'll be fantastic), but I think it'd be cool to learn more about lighting, and what effects it can cause. I also want to learn more about taking pictures. Like at first, the basics of how to take a picture well, and then keep on going through specifics. I'd like to take pictures of people, architecture and maybe the nightlife.
I also want to know more about editing pictures.
